42 Beyond Normal

I made this house when I went to stop with my friend Hels, its not easy using others craft stash, as with your own you know where everything is, well you think you do LOL. It actually did me good as I crafted for the first time in a while, so huge thanks Hels xx

This house is 5 inches across by the top point being 6 inches, I used Distress Inks and Dabbers, a bit of water flicked on the background to, varios stamps from Hels collection, a homemade slide mount over the ladies face and the white pen, a Doo Dad to finish and of course the number and name of the street, quite apt for me I think, hope you like and thanks for looking xxx

Sunday Stamper Challenge Sisters

Thgis weeks SS challenge is Sisters, well a while ago I did a class at Scrapbook Sisters and it was to make your own background paper from plain white Bazzil, which my home made paper is the cover on picture 2. we then had a Maya Rd book inside a box to decorate, the top and bottom pictures I covered the pages in crackle paint and distress inks, I have used a variety of stamps from Paperbag Studios and The Queens Dresser Drawers, the bottom picture has also been stamped and cut out on homemade glossy card, some doo dads and glossy accents applied to, another poor description from me but you should be used to that by now. this is my first bit of crafting for almost a week, I seem to of lost my crafty habit.

I Eat My Words (Decking Saga)

Well I have to eat my words here, a bit of a story to these photos, My Darling hubby bought home some old used decking, I told him I was not having that old rubbish put outside our back and I was adament. well the day I went to Ally Pally he decided he would start it, well when I arrived home with CraftyC ( Claire her normal name) my face I was not happy, well now its all complete and we have Plants and a great new patio set I have to say oops!!! it looks much better than before. I feel well rotten now, but well a womans allowed to change her mind.

Some of you have seen our back bit before decking, it will be interesting to see what you think of it now, just the rest of the garden could do with a sort out, but afraid the dog messes that up, can not have everything can I ?????

House Wine ( Sunday Stampers Challenge )

Anything for a laugh, this house shape is cut to this size as I had thought of joining the swap that Dan has joined ( Dans suggestion that I had a go, he will wish he had not now ) I had to drawer this and it needed certain measurements, well since making this, which is for the SS Challenge as I thought Wine and house, House Wine LOL I have decided that my house is rather rubbish, but ok for the challenge. But I will not be joining the swap.

Anyways I have covered it with broken china and faded jeans ink pads, then used the Artistic Stamper Wine stamp, I masked that and I have some graffiti looking stamps, so I used fired brick and stamped that over the top, the chimney area is a Paperbag Studio stamp, then I used that fabby white pen for some detail and hey presto almost finished house, which I hasten to add is awaiting the demolition team.

here are my 6 things if i can think of 6 things

1 - I can not stand the smell of pig trotters cooking, as a child my mum often had them simmering all day on our old rayburn

2 - I have a scar on my leg a big dent from a dog bite

3- I was once engaged to be married to someone else and broke it of as I realised I loved Mark more and asked my ex to take me to Marks house so I could tell him how much he meant to me, oops

4- I once hit a motorcycle whilst riding my pushbike no hands on the wrong side of the road, going round a rather sharp bend, broke my nose and arm in the process.

5 - I used to work at a mental hospital ( and no I was not an inpatient )

6- My first car was a yellow mini with chrome wheels and bucket seats, way to go me LOL

how very boring were those facts xx

MTTCC Black Hair ( sort of )

This weeks MTTCC is black hair, well this is hair, be it that they are not all Black, how many blue cats have you ever seen LOL so I decided to put this in the challenge and hope they accept it.

its little stampbord squares using Linda Luckin Stamps from the Artistic Stamper www.theartisticstamper.com I have covered the squares with inks and stamped and scratched the Images, the background is Black Dabber and Gold Dabber with a Script Stamp.

My baby has all grown up

Well what can I say this is not my usual stuff to blog but my Girlies all grown up, it was her last day at school today as you can see from the picture her blouse is all signed. she just has to go back for her GCSE exams now and hopefully get good enough grades for the 6th form.

I had to share this as I can not think where the 5 years have gone from when she was a new year 7 pupil and her saying I have 5 years of this, now here we are done. some of them signatures are rather rude to :-)

Here is another tag to the collection, you may notice that some have been done before, there is a reason for me repeating them. all been done using Lost Coast Stamps, Paperbag Studio Stamps and a few words form my collection ( thats cos I can not remember from who) Have masked and Distressed Inked also script backgrounds, its similar to others I have done and now I am getting bored with my crafting.

Tag for a friend SS challenge

I made this tag Yesterday and its ideal for the SS challenge this week which is cats, I have seen Hels one and am so suprised I have done one side of my tag almost identical to the one she has done, I did not copy honest xx

homemade Tag

This is the first of many tags for a gift for a friend, I cut and made the tag and used a circle punch and crop-o-dile for the hole. inked in distress inks, stamped with Paper Artsy and Green Pepper Press Stamps, a bit of Tims doo dads, metal embellishments, white pen and glossy accents, you know me no good at describing anything.

Fab at Fifty

I have made this card for the MTTCC this week its Ribbons and a great chance to do my friends 50th card.

I used my new Penny Black stamp and painted it in, used black and red cardstock a ribbon, words from the computer and another creation is here. thanks for looking and hope you like it, I did do a 16th card and thought I had scanned it but must of missed it and now its gone to my daughters friend x

Sunday Stamper Challenge Boys

This weeks Sunday Stampers is boys, I have used a Crafty Individuals stamp for the main Image and stamped it on Alcohol Inked background paper, after I highlighted parts of it with my new white pen. matted it on red card and a Rustic Gem paper that I stamped some red script on, finished with Gold Krylon and the word Memories.

Tag your it picture slide

Am I ever late for this challenge, typical I can not get anything right, last week the Tag your it challenge was picture frames and here is my effort.

I stamped the lady then masked her and added fired brick and aged mahogony distress inks, then did 2 colour scripts and some words, then cut a slide mount down and decorated it and put acetate behind and hey presto theres my tag, sorry its late and thanks for looking xx

Sunday Stamper Challenge Words

Well heres my Sunday Stamper, Its words this week and I have done another cute card, I am getting addicted to cute.

For this card I have Stamped the Penny Black Minding Sheltie stamp, watercoloured it in with my new Faber Castells I adore them and well worth the money :-) matted the image on orange cardstock and put little orange brads in, put an orange and black matt in the middle of the card and stamped the quote on white card and embossed it in black.
